EasyLedger v1.8.0 Released — What's New

A full rundown of the latest release, including performance improvements, UI refinements, and bug fixes.

Product Update

We're happy to announce the release of EasyLedger v1.8.0. This update focuses on performance, stability, and quality-of-life improvements based on feedback from our users. Here's everything that changed.

How to update: EasyLedger will prompt you to update automatically on next launch, or you can download the latest version directly from the Download page.

Performance Improvements

v1.8.0 includes significant under-the-hood improvements to how EasyLedger loads and processes data. Users with larger datasets — hundreds of customers, invoices, and expenses — will notice faster load times across the board. Report generation in particular is noticeably quicker.

UI Refinements

Several interface elements have been tightened up based on user feedback:

  • The invoice editor now has a cleaner layout with better spacing
  • The dashboard summary cards have been redesigned for better readability
  • Navigation between sections is smoother with reduced screen flicker
  • Date pickers now default to the current month for faster entry

Bug Fixes

This release resolves several issues reported by users:

  • Fixed an issue where tax totals on invoices could display incorrectly when multiple tax rates were applied
  • Resolved a rare crash that occurred when exporting large reports to PDF
  • Fixed sorting on the customer list not persisting between sessions
  • Corrected an edge case where partial payments were not reflected correctly in outstanding balance calculations

Stability & Security

As with every release, v1.8.0 includes updated dependencies and security patches. We take the security of your local data seriously, even though it never leaves your machine.

Note: Free updates like this one are included with every EasyLedger license. Bug fixes and security patches are covered forever — no additional cost.
